I heard an opinion the most devoted communists died in the war because they fought selflessly for the bright future and peace. School is a prison where you are forced to go. Also for young people everything in that jungle is what is important for them, they treat school life like society itself. Thus, if you are bottom barrel/rejected by society, you feel like burning it down.
Work place is different, it is just one part of your whole life, and you can quit anytime you want. You are not imprisoned there, unlike mandatory school.
