I'm another Bernd, but we had two or three rounds of sex ed if I remember correctly.
The first time was when we were around 10 and I don't even remember if we actually had it or if my classmates were just sperging out on the playground that we were supposed to have it and the teacher conveniently forgot about it because she didn't want to do it.
Second time was two or three years later but it was extremely technical, just naming organs on a graphic. (This is the glans, this is the scrotum, etc.) And putting a condom on a styrofoam penis, some talk about pls don't get preggers, pls don't get STDs, abortions exist but are very problematic.
Third time was before we turned 16 and the teacher tried to make it a bit more suitable for real life and let us ask many questions. Although she refused to answer a lot of stuff and talked her way around things. I remember she didn't want to say what fellatio was when asked and she refused to say sex was fun. She came up with some kind of roundabout way of saying it like: "Nature made it in such a way that people want to do it" or something...
I can see how some students at different schools or with different teachers might have missed the memo.
