I had a polish dude sitting next to me in biology classes, he was about 1,50m short despite we all were 17-18 already.
He tried really hard to always get the best marks in school, maybe it was to cope, I don't know.
Well anyway, since I was bad in school, he always made fun of me and told the teachers that I am "annoying him when I sleep".
So yeah, one day he came to me alone and asked me to study harder or he will ask the teacher to sit next to someone else, and I just punched him. I'm pretty weak, but it was enough for him to hit his head on the wall and he bled, which got me almost suspended from school.
But apart from this guy, I only have positive experiences with poles.

I have been lonely for so long. I mourned the loss of those friend groups from "the olden days" of the internet ('00s), but they might have been an illusion since I was a teen back then anyway. When kc died, it felt like a piece of my heart was torn out, but to be honest, it wasn't really as nice all along.
Now I found a discord channel. I entered it and it was... Nice. The people were genuinely nice.
I felt connected, in a way, that even predates my attachment to Imageboards.
However. It's a full force LGBTQ+ server. Not everyone has to be gay, but it is a huge thing over there. I even found out that the chat lingo is from the LGBTQ "scene".
I remember that I had been drifting in that direction before I found Imageboards and became generally right-wing (what I wouldn't even describe my identity right now). But still. I feel so out of place, and still welcome, because most of them are also not neurotypicals. Most of them suffer issues. I am amongst the most healthy there with my autism and moderately orderly life, but... It's ok.
Also, half of them are school kids or students.
I'm torn and still I feel at home somewhat. In a friendly circle, at last.

many germans do not really know the, sometimes subtle, but important differences between nationalism, national socialism, patriotism, xenophobia, racism, rightwing, extremism, fascism and such. its all the same spooky evil thing to them admitting that you are skeptic of multiculturalism / open border policy or, conversely, that you like the idea of nationstates, is clearly regarded as something outright evil to do by many germans. both sides get tired of these arguments because both sides dont understand each other and stopped to listen to each other many years ago, and after a while that teaches you to just shut up, and for some (not for me) may contribute to the feeling of collective silencing.
admittedly, it depends where you are. I moslty know people from academia in life sciences, and here everyone is extremely sensitive about these topics. I knew a girl who has a hunter licence and hangs out with hunters and scouts, and for them singing folky songs is no problem at all. The thing is that these stick-up-the-ass acadiema people are the ones becoming journalists, whose job is to be no expert in anything but to report on them, and who then mix up all these words I introduced at the start in their articles in a frustrating way, and normies copy them into the "evil thoughts for evil people who do not deserve my time and understanding" part of their brains.

Good morning Bernd, do you like Sushi?
This Bernd loves Sushi, but he is too poor to eat it often so a while ago he decided to learn how to make it himself.
Pic related is his last trial from December, without the booze it was about 15 Euros, enough for 4 people. For this flavour and quality you would easily pay 90+ Euros in a Sushi restaurant.
Today evening he will try it again, this time he will try to:
- make WARSHIP sushi (not so hard)
- not fuck up the eggs structure (hard)
- possibly make eel sushi, if eel is available on the local market
Should Bernd post how he makes the Sushi? Does anyone give a shit?

salt water fish also doesn't have THAT many parasites (afaik), freezing removes some of them, and fish parasites are often not as dangerous as red meat parasites are (eg. the pig tapeworm)
This pandemic and lockdown are really getting to me. On top of that, almost every thing I did in the last few weeks went wrong in some weird way and I had many things happen to me out of bad luck, like power outage in my flat and things going wrong with my mail, etc.
I have been on the verge of tears for a couple of hours ;_;
