The west has one terrible weapon...Hollywood. Everybody actually believes the garbage that Hollywood produces, so they believe the West is so amazing by watching all the fake stories Hollywood cranks out, so they join NATO and ally with the West only to find out they have been lied to but at that point its too late.
Russia's own problems stem from its incompetence and drunkedness, mainly from their own version of postwar baby boomers. That german invented communism did a number on that country, look what its doing to the USA now. Kids can't even read whats on the protest signs they're holding up.

Do you imply that the launch of war in 2022 was motivated countries in the 90s to apply for NATO membership? Noone was worried about Russia back then. When heard or talked about eastern danger it was about the Ukrainian mafia.
There was a good relationship between the Western powers that be and Russia in those times. Looked like a full rapprochement for a while.
>NATO did not force the countries to join.
NATO declared they won't expand "an inch". They could have said: sorry, we won't take new members. Ex-Eastern Bloc countries could form their own military alliance.
While they weren't "forced" it is not impossible to manipulate them.
I give you an example.
Here in the history books of he communism, and I talk specifically about primary and secondary school books, when it came to Hungarian history these books said that Hungarians of old times did everything because of class struggle. This was the Marxist way of explaining historical processes, either the bourgeois oppressed the working class or the working class fought for its right and beat the bourgeois back. So they explained the motivations of Hungarians on the same basis no matter the era or the place.
After we dropped communism in 1989-90 textbooks changed. Suddenly Hungarians did everything because they saw how backwards they are and they wanted to catch up to the West and join them. I dunno how it is at the moment but this was true for the history books used to teach kids in the 90s and early 2000s. A generation of voters were groomed to believe this is their historical heritage that all those smart Hungarians of the past 1000 years pass on to them.
Ofc some Hungarian officials decided about what the kids have to learn. But was that their own idea? They had no interest in pushing this message, and surely it isn't more true than class struggle. So it's not like a "oh we found the ultimate truth and everyone has to know about it" situation. They were more than likely that they were told that they have to influence the public opinion to arrange their application of membership in Western organizations. Because the West wanted these countries. They wanted to secure these countries for themselves.

Russia(when it was USSR) withdrew it's military from half of Europe without a single shot fired.
This is clear sign of it's intention of peace in Europe, then you know what happened after.
Dozens of wars and coups initiated by NATO members effectively overthrowing governments, installing puppet regimes and expanding NATO influence across the globe.
You can justify it in any way you want but that's the fact and it shows real intention.

So who got fed up with whom in the end?

>NATO went from 16 members at the end of the Cold War to 32 members today — exactly doubling in size. Russia has consistently cited this eastward expansion, particularly the 2004 wave and the prospect of Ukraine joining, as a core security grievance behind its increasingly aggressive posture and ultimately the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

VenezuelaThe biggest prank call you don't know aboutBernd2026-06-24 14:57:56 · 1dNo. 362055reply
In 2003, one of the most viral moments of the Hispanic internet happened, a stunt that, to this day, remains unmatched. Two Miami Radio hosts, Enrique Santos and Joe Ferrero from the popular radio show "El Vacilón de la mañana," pulled the biggest phone prank in the history of the world when they decided to call Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez.

In January 2003, using some clips taken from a call of Fidel to Vicente Fox, they called the Miraflores Palace in Venezuela to reach President Hugo Chávez. In the call, they used a woman pretending to be an assistant of the Cuban presidency, and while pretending to represent Fidel for an urgent call, they got the private phone number of Hugo Chávez. During the call, they utilized nonsensical audio clips and feigned connection issues to keep Chávez on the line, systematically breaking down his guard. When they had enough, they broke character and told Chavez they were calling him from Miami and that he was live on air, told him to get the fuck out of Venezuela, called him a murderer and a shithead.

The call exploded, people couldn't believe it, international media went nuts reporting on how poor Chavez's communications were, the presidency sent a formal letter of complaint to the government of the US, and Enrique and Joe? 3-day suspension, no pay, pretty much just a slap on the wrist. But they haven't finished yet.

Come July 2003. After people stopped talking about the situation and the War of Iraq went harder by the day, one day out of the blue, they decided to close the chapter and now call Castro. Using the soundbites they got from Chavez's call, they pretended they were members of the secretary of the presidency calling concerning some luggage and documents. Using the same tricks but with more experience and finesse, they managed to trick the old Dictator into engaging in conversation. Once the timing was right, Joe went off on him and asked if he was happy with all the shit he did to the Island, which prompted Castro to get mad and call him a comemierda (shit eater), a mariconsón (huge faggot), and to tell him to go fuck himself (vete al coño de tu madre)

The consequences didn't wait. The FCC later fined the radio station regarding the prank call to Fidel Castro, as it involved the recording of a conversation without the consent of the other party, the DJs accepted and paid the fine in Pennies. To avoid further repercussions, the station accepted the pennies, paid the fine, and subsequently donated the total to charity.

Ultimately, the prank wasn't just a viral moment enclosed in the context of merchandise and entertainment. It was using humor as a weapon to spit in the face of power. It was a cathartic experience for the hosts, a way to confront the men responsible for their exile. Beyond that, it was a moment of profound solidarity. Cubans and Venezuelans have always shared deep cultural and historical ties; for these hosts, calling Chávez a 'piece of shit' wasn't just about going viral. It was a signal to Venezuelans that from Miami, people were watching, seeing through the facade, and using humor as a weapon to speak truth to power.

Sorry, I get really, really butthurt when I have the slightest hint someone is defending Chavismo, communism, Maduro, or whatever. Those sub-humans destroyed my nation's morale, history, and infrastructure, and took everything from us.

They are the reason why I have friends and family living in every single continent, and a third of our population is living outside of our borders.

Even if you weren't the BO, chances were I would've apologized eventually if you were sincerely saying something or if I misunderstood anything. I can get butthurt fast if I feel someone is doing chavismo apologetics, but I apologize fast if I'm in the wrong.

Modernity, with all the good it came with, brought something else upon us: cynicism and materialism. Modern man is nowadays so enclosed in his own filth and ego that he forgets that, by definition and evolution, we are a social species, and because of it, we're meant to live in community. Living in community is not a passive act; it's an active one. Some people can lead, and others can follow, but they all share the same duty: to serve.

This is not a new crisis, mind you, but a culmination of a century-long fracture. The philosophical and ethical foundations of the West were blasted away in the trenches of the First World War and buried under the rubble of the Second. In the wake of this civilizational devastation, modern man found himself hollowed out by despair, stripped of the traditional certainties that once anchored his existence.

Some reacted to the horrors of the war by turning to the utopian illusion of twentieth-century state communism. By wearing the mask of the collective, claiming to be "for the people," it managed to gain hold not only politically but spiritually. Communism, by being built on a foundation of materialism and atheism, stripped away the transcendent spark of the human soul, reducing man to an economic unity, a cog in a vast historical machine. This Animal Economicus, as the communists called it, or Animal Racionalisticus, as the liberals called it, was the same thing; a man independent from God, and severing man from God reduced human lives to disposable raw material for the state.

Living under, or seeing from afar, the catastrophic failure of these regimes serves as a historical warning that community cannot be engineered by any means through state force or materialist dialectics. It can only be built on love, but not any type of love, but what St. Augustine of Hippo called the Ordo Amoris (the right ordering of love). St. Augustine understood that a healthy human society requires Caritas: a sacrificial, divinely inspired love for one's neighbor. Totalitarianism and authoritarianism have always demanded a fundamentally disordered love, forcing the citizen to worship the political system above God and the party above the family. When our loves are misordered, when we put the ego, the state, or material wealth above the transcendent, tyranny and isolation are the inevitable results. Communism tried to build brotherhood without a father, and in doing so, it became an engine for destruction and hate.

When the Iron courtain fell many intellectuals rushed to publish papers on how we were living in a post-ideological world, how capitalism won and how we're moving forward to a new era, and although positive elements were coming out of that deal, modern man is still surrounded by the echoes of that same chaos, the lack of purpose, the loneliness epidemic, and an ambient sense of gloom and doom makes easy to feel helpless and miserable. But no man has the right to surrender to that despair without at least attempting to serve his fellow man.

Ultimately, serving one's people is one of the highest duties a man can perform. It is a singular act of devotion executed simultaneously for his God, for his nation, and, in a profound paradox, for himself. In the absolute surrender of the ego to the service of others, the cycle of modern cynicism is broken. Through active service, you find a love that validates your own existence, a deep affection for the neighbor you shield, and ultimately, the one thing modernity promises but can never deliver: a true, unshakeable sense of purpose.
