Americans were programmed as far back as the Civil War, when Rabbis conspired to create an alternative bible that took out all references criticizing jews.
The book, compiled by Rabbi Cyrus Scofield ended up becoming the standard which other bibles derived from. Entire books are missing from the Scofield bible and any text calling Jews the synagogue of Satan were toned down or omitted.
Most modern Americans won't use the proper KJV because the text is hard to read. The translation from Greek is tough to go through.
