I am not exactly an indie dev (and I'd rather mod my ideas rather than do an entire game)
But I have been having these ideas lately about "vocational" types of games and such. Aka various job simulators, yeah. I am curious about maaany fields of work and I'd love to experience them in a form of a videogame at least, which imo has the potential to be an extremely educational format for this.

Now obviously this is an already existing genre so there's probably a lot of stuff like these.
One of the most memorable of these for me was an "economic strategy game" from my childhood where you needed to manage wildlife conservation policies to upkeep the population of wild leopards in the Far East. The devs behind this game even said they will implement the best strategies irl. You had to manage policies towards feeding the prey animals in places where leopards live, funding animal sanctuaries, actually asking for funding period, managing policies against poachers, doing interviews and persuading famous people to your cause, etc etc. It's actually quite hard and I still can't understand how to win.
Now, the leopard population did improve nowadays since 2007 when the game was released or so… So maybe this worked.

There are some vocational games, like truck and farming simulators. There is Gearhead Garage for mechanics roleplay building cars from parts. Various management games, like Game Dev Tycoon as well.
When I was a kid we played a tabletop board game "Catch Them Alive" where each player was a hunter who captured animals for zoo. Only could move the pieces like the knight in chess. The animals were rated based on rarity, and each added some score.
It was a fun and educational game. I wonder if it can be adapted to pc somehow.
Reminds me tho there are fishing and hunting games. There was a Deer Hunter where the hunter was a deer and shot redneck hunters. There were fun game calls (when hunters make animal noises to attract them) about free beer and girls in bikini.

I honestly don't see much advantage on buying vidyas besides preventing posible malware, having a legal account and Steam achivements, idk very much about it, does it also depends on wich kind of game i'm going to pirate?

Dark Lord Simulator "Dominion of Darkness" is RPG/strategy where you are destroying/conquering fantasy world by intrigues, military power and dark magic.
And now it is the time for the big update, focusing primarily on the endgame. Players focused on direct conquest will have new ways to find new battlefields - portals to crazy, Lovecraftian worlds, discovering new lands, and a magical slumber to wait for the rebirth of old enemies/the emergence of new ones (and seeing how the world changes in their absence). For players more interested in the less brutal side of world domination, the options for managing the territories of our empire will be expanded. Will you allow orcs to overrun Dark Elf cities? Will schools focus on training engineers for the army and economy, or on brainwashing them into blind obedience? Furthermore, I’m expanding the Dark Lord’s interactions with other characters, including available romances. Of course, new content requires testing, and since, as usual, it’s highly non-linear and dependent on player decisions (plus random generation), I can’t test every combination myself.

Why I am posting it here? Because, as I said - game is pretty politically incorrect. There are themes like slavery, genocide etc. Also - game is not meant to be parody, but there is some dark humour and it sometimes makes jabs at sacred cows - like tale of the ancient sorcerer-king who was so crazy that he demanded his subjects to pretend he is a women or how you can destroy kingdom with the peacefull orcish immigrants. There is also some optional romantic/light erotic content, but absolutely zero of LGBTXYZ. So I think it can be good place to search for the testers who will not make drama:)
Every Scum server has a wipe where everything is deleted, including loot and bases, which is annoying.
