When i am in a good mood and depressed people are around me, they all compete for my attention and start to audition and annoy me with non-consensual relationship attempts like i was a holywood producer and have a million dollar acting role to distribute.
Literally 10 depressedcels could be around me and stare at me and try to make contact and none of them care that there are 9 other depressed people who also nobody wants to meet.

you'd think that if you never felt it but once you have you see the unfortunate limits of this narrow cultural reality most humans subscribe to. imagine going some place and people feeling that you dont have this hole inside you that you try to fill with something and then everyone around becomes attracted and fascinated and most people have no idea how disgusting the behavior of attracted people is. how they audition, how they make compliments, how their body is saying the things they are dumb enough to believe are secrets while their mouth is trying to change the subjects from their complete lack of control over themselves. how they behave when they believe someone is high status in a desperate attempt to falsely convey something they are in the middle of proving otherwise. the contradictions can become so annoying that it is at times hard to keep track of the lies they try to convey.
the attraction then grows and then second-hand attractors become attracted by the amount of attraction the first attractors exhibit and they are even more desperate and provocative and annoying. they just want to be noticed by the guy everyone looks at. they start fights, pretend any excuse to ask questions and approach and because they are all alike without knowing how common they are, they think they are geniuses with their approaches. they have no idea how they are just clones of other unwanted scum, saying the same things, pretending the same things, just participating in this web of lies.
then there are women becoming attracted while guys who could never attract a women with no amount of violence or trickery become red with rage because i didn't even do anything. they believe it is unfair. and they try to intercept the attraction.
unattractive guys have seen girls look at me with attraction and then they physically block their view of me so if they want to look at me they would have to look through them because they try to harves the eye contact, i shit you not.
there is an easy way to tell that you are ugly. if you go someplace and people dont go crazy and dont start fights with you or over you, then you are ugly. if you can go someplace and no trouble starts by just you being there and be left alone and mind your business, then you are ugly, which is far less undesirable of a state then any unattractive person could realize. such cases.

you've probably seen it in some form or another. you've seen girls that were so attractive that people lost their mind and became obsessed instantly. you have seen cool dudes in school who everyone tried to befriend and tried to orbit around. people who are so popular that other people decided to laugh at whatever they said both as a form of seeking connection and as an opportunity to blurt out their nervous feelings.

This is probably not the best place to talk about this but maybe Bernd did something like this before. What I leaned over the years is that you really don't know how much you gonna miss something before it is gone. I also started downloading Youtube channels that I really don't want to lose.
So now I want to create a backup of all the old CS1.6 and CSS maps. Unlike CSGO maps they aren't hosted on the Valve workshop and the sites hosting them could go down at any moment. I remember when spraylogos.de went down. 100s of thousands of custom made sprays were lost. Probably most of them trash but we will never know.
There are around 17k CS1.6 maps and 38k CSS maps. If the average map size is between 10 to 20MB then I should be able to fit them easily on my NAS.
Now I just need to create a script that downloads all the files and all useful metadata. I wonder how fast I should download so they don't ban my IP.

I'm also considering downloading the TV interview series "Pričevalci" (means sth like "Eyewitnesses"). A historian who specialises in revolutionary violence (Slovenia post-ww2 and otherwise) does LONG (2hr+) interviews with old people with stories to tell. They're uploaded on the national radiotelevision website, but it takes some script-fu to download them (you have to sniff out the .m3u8 stream url and route it into an ordinary file using ffmpeg).
