It really makes you appreciate EU standards, as those laws require that electronics should be easy enough to disassemble.
In my job you can see a massive difference between some old electronics from the 80s that was forgotten for 40 years in the attic vs modern stuff. Vast majority of the modern stuff can be disassembled by just loosening 2-4 screws, but some of the olden stuff from the 60s-early90s is glued tightly together and instead of taking 3minutes it takes an entire hour to break your way through with pliers.
EU is shit, but even they are right about some things. Modern stuff is easy to disassemble.
