it's not that I care what she thinks of me, it's that I hate forced meaningless conversation and avoid it at all costs.
for example trader Joe's is a great store and I love buying their food, but the cashiers are trained to be friendly and try to spark up conversations about what you're wearing or what you're buying so I dread the checkout line.

here it's mostly all "hellos" and "goodbyes", sometimes they mention the weather (but only if it's particularly bad) and once a lady asked me about a product I was buying (because she wanted to know if it's any good)
I am a Finnish assburger, and this is the most assburger country in the world. (Japan puts up a lot of competition, but they still have this social conformity thing.) I've also lived a couple of years in England, for contrast, and can confirm that I got a reverse culture shock from all that Finnish assburgerism. So, you'd think this would be an assburger-friendly country. And it isn't. We were just born on the wrong planet.

Sadly yes, they will surely vote for the most welfare party. If a society is too divided ppl will vote for the party that most benefit their collective, this is why i dont believe in diversity. Turks votes or SPD no matter how conservative they are, same with moroccans with PSOE.
Democracy works, but you need a homogeneus society. Once you get rid of foreigners and disabled, you could have a perfect democracy, you also need to make votes public so everyone know if the election is rigged or not..

Currently I listen to a german podcast about old games from the 90's and early 2000's. Before that I listened to HP Lovecraft audiobooks. I love those. I also listen to podcasts were people talk about random stuff a lot during work as a background noise but I usually don't understand what they are talking about as I concentrate on other stuff.
I don't think it is about the speed as I don't walk particularly slow but more about getting into a steady rhythm.

eh, not really since I took a couple of days at the end October off and was dreading coming back to work just before my time off I had to make a decision that pissed some people off and was expecting a shitshow upon my return

honestly? I've missed university and it's great to be back using my brain again feels good too
the only thing I don't enjoy is the building since it's all concrete and steel, gives off a strong liminal space vibe, and everything is poorly labeled so it's easy to get lost
