Why would you study a language with only a few million speakers that all know english very well?

I'm too stupid and lazy for other than finnish and english. I have tried in the past swedish (mandatory), estonian and japanese.

whats the point of learning niche language? i think learning new language is only justified if you want to actually use it = live where its used or you need to consume information written on that language.

Danish is a fucked up version of mixing German and Swedish, I'd recommend just learning Swedish

Danish and Swedish is almost the same to learn in any respect. The main difference is that Danish pronunciation is probably a bit more difficult to master. But there is no high cost to either decision, because you can transfer like 90% of what you have learned in one language to the other. Vocabulary is very similar, grammar is almost the same...

Just throw a coin or pick the one you can attend a course locally for or whatever.

Learn swedish, then if you want to speak danish simply put a potato in your throat
