My opinion about languages:
Russian, and all slavic - have very high literature potential, but have too hard phonetics, it cause problems to many people with medical defects of articulation apparatus and speech neural system Also, another problem is that it requiers a lot of letters in alphabeth, so it is harder to use computers.
English - easiest language, also usable, but it has very very low literature potential, its impossible to transfer full gamma of emotions with this.
Deutch - all same with english, but a little harder and a little more expressive, but, also with broken phoenetics.

I stand for esperanto - it has the best components from russian expression abilities with the usability of germanic languages.

Yes yes, maby you just dont know how is it to be possible to form a hudred same-root swearing only fron one word. For example i have just wrote the short story using the word "huy". And we actually speak like this.
SloveniaBernd2022-02-27 08:51:05 · 4yNo. 138983reply
English has the opposite; instead there's dozens of roots for nuances of the same word.
In the end this is just the difference between inflectional (Russian) and syntactical (English) grammar.

>English has the opposite; instead there's dozens of roots for nuances of the same word.
Can you make an example please. As far as i know, they, in the opposite, have a lot of meanings for the one single root.
But anyway without all these slavic word-constructional ending suffixes etc, the language looks weak.

Typical case of "my language is best" because you don't even know others well enough to be able to compare unbiased.

Try googling what language has the most swear words and you will find people from all over the world claiming it to be their mother tongue.
Btw my guess is that Chinese has by far the most options to swear.

You saying some idea just confirms my thesis, because SOME knowledge is all you have.

I also have some knowledge about Russian. To me it is a very barbaric language. You often just use imperative forms alone without any kind of please and your way of swearing is very low down and overused in everyday speach.

Did you know that language shapes our personality? I'm not sure why you are proud of making sentences where every word contains dick.

What I am trying to say is that I suck hard at Russian so I can not compare it with my language. And neither can you, deal with it.

lol, butthurt german. The fact is that all your germanic shit can be translated to russian, but only a dozens of percent of russian speech can be translated to yours primitive language, without losing emotional sence.
HungaryBernd2022-02-27 12:10:40 · 4yNo. 139001reply
>church words
We do that too. Most are out of fashion, but the sacrament thing is still used, now usually in Hungarian (a szentségit), but back then they used szakramentumát. Sometimes even the "blesser" (az áldóját) as well even today.
Someone should make a book about Hungarian swearing. We even have such things that are rooted in the pagan past and folk tales and the noted "church words", liek:
>a hétfánfütyülő rézangyalát
Which means: "the copper angel whistling on the seven trees".
Today this isn't used as average profanity ofc, but was in the past and remained as a playful saying or part of the tales, jokes.
But even averages profanities has more soul that 90% of foreigners (Indos) use.
Couple of popular curses:
- isten faszát! = god's cock! (check the truck driver here: >>137396);
- menj a halál faszára = go to the death's cock (essentially the Ruski nahui thing, but better);
- az anyja köcsögit! = his mother's crockery (köcsög/crokery means fag, especially the passive one);
- szopósszájú ribanc = whore with cocksucking mouth ("you whore with cocksucking mouth!" - and this isn't used as a comliment in this cotext ofc);
etc etc. I could sit here till dusk and typing.
