So, I just heard that this Christmas we are gonna do no gifts. They decide that 2 days before Christmas Eve.

I guess I can just keep them for myself, but what in the fuck is wrong with people?
GermanyBernd2021-12-22 08:40:05 · 5yNo. 130349reply
Keep them and give them as birthday presents to the intended people.

You can always give presents from the goodness of your heart and not because of Christmas

I'm buying my dad a jet lighter btw
he's been constantly complaining about his lighters having weak fire but never does anything about it
I'm going to introduce him to this invention and it's totally not because I would also use such lighter with a test tube pipe to vape weed crackheda style

Well yes.

But sometimes gifts are expected at certain times like christmas or on birthdays.

A gift also implies the need to give a gift back. If it has been given without any obvious reason, that might put the receiver under stress. Now he has to reciprocate somehow, outside of a context he is used to giving gifts in. When exchanging christmas and birthday gifts, this problem doesn't exist.

Now that’s the spirit!
Oh come on, it can’t be all that, try giving it with a note
