Hello, my name is Bernd and I have a serious problem buying junk food after work as of late.

I think that is understandable after such hard work.

I didn't need to go visit the shop today but all I could think about was drinking another 2.4L of 50% less sugar mango and orange juice.

What is your main junk food craving? Just sugary drinks or other stuff as well?

You are addicted to the fats and sugars.

Can't you eat some healthy food at your job and make sure you don't go home hungry? And have some normal food ready at home?

This advice has helped me a lot. But then there was still a craving for chocolate. I managed to reign that in a bit by finding some "healthier" stuff that satisfies this craving with having a bit less sugar etc. Namely a high protein, low fat chocolate mousse. Probably not the best food item in the world, but it satisfies my chocolate craving with just 150 calories and I don't feel the need to eat a whole pack of chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk for 800 calories.

Replacing sugar and fat heavy industrial products with natural food is a good way. I for example left all the sugar heavy lemonades/sodas and I mostly drink water or coconut water now. I of course am not some hardcore dietarist, I enjoy occasional lemonades and treats. Just trying to keep them out of my daily consumption.
Not saying it is easy, it can actually be quite difficult when your brain is wired to look for these sources since caveman times, but one can slowly try replace the worst "offenders" in ones diet, it becomes easier the longer you are doing it

Mostly ice cream and chips, sometimes cookies. This week is the juices because they're on special.
I eat five potatoes throughout the day after a five egg breakfast and finish it off with a four carrot, 100g of cheese and 3 chicken leg dinner. That space in between dinner is the trap.

That doesn’t sound like healthy eating tbh. Boring and probably not enough nutrition. It leaves you hungry and that craving for junk food is probably justified, just to get enough calories. You work manual labour, right?

When it comes to junk food, you seem to enjoy a wide variety. Maybe just take note of the things you eat for a while, how much and what nutritional value, and then just don’t buy the worst one anymore. That is maybe a good start.

I think I pull in enough nutritional value since I can only eat a small range of foods without irritating my bowels with fibre. Kinda sucks and as I do miss porridge, it's my own fault for being a dunce.
I think I'm craving junk food just to satisfy myself because I'm stressed and very horny. I usually binge eat rubbish when I'm stressed.
