My right eye was buggered bad after planting in an area rife with scotch broom. Some of the plants in question were towering me and I innocently turned around and got a piece of it embedded in my eye. Now I can barely open it and I think people were looking at me weirdly as I walked through the supermarket seeing fuzzy blurs of people from my left eye that was also grazed by this evil plant.

It will heal, don't you worry about that. But gotta admit, cutting your eye with grass is a minor case of special Darwin award.

This may sound crazy but... have you considered seeing (lel) a doctor?

They're not in the sedge species from what I recall. They're a broom plant and really robust. The entire area was overrun by it, some other thorny plant and a vining plant that kept entangling me.
I don't like hospitals. I'm gonna have to walk 6km one way to visit the emergency room and its gonna cost me a lot of monis. Thankfully its a work related accident so it'll be covered.

Walked 12km semi blind to the hospital. Was seen within twenty minutes because nobody was there. The receptionist informed me it was $500 if my case is not deemed an accident or $120 ten steps towards the urgent care clinic.
The nurse who saw me was efficient, and very cordial. Herr Doktor was very professional, explaining everything that's happened to my eyes. He wrote a note saying I will be invalidated from heavy work until Wednesday, which feels good. I didn't feel like going to work today anyway. The yellow dilating droplets seeped into my sinus and I began spitting bright yellow phlegm after exiting the hospital. Thankfully everything was processed through ACC (accident claims coverage) and I owe nothing.
Life's good.
