What kind of math are we talking?
University level mathematics or calculating things you need for daily life in your heda?

Moreso the latter

1. Conscious research and understanding.
2. Consistent practice.

Think about what you want to be able to do, look up how to do it and then practice.

Do you have any specific use cases in mind?

There is no point in learning math if you don't use it. You will forget it fast.

hmm.

it helps to have someone teach you who makes the learning experience fun.

For example, this one time, my highschool calculus teacher locked his door and had the students wait outside. When he let us in, all of the tables, chairs, and books were spread on the floor. In the middle of the room there was a blanket and a lump. He started freaking out and said "Oh no what happened?" He lifted the blanket from the lump and gasped as he unveiled a decrepit cabbage patch kid doll. He puts a thermometer into the doll and reads out a temperature.

And basically, the entire lesson surrounded the "murder" of this doll, and how we could solve differential equations to determine the time of "death".

I remembered a shit ton about Newton's law of cooling after that.

So idk, find an eccentric math nerd and befriend him. Or watch people like Flammable Maths to experience mathematical shitposts.

Learn to treat it as a game or a mystery to solve, it makes learning it more enjoyable and you understand things more easily that way.
