What do you think would happen if China "Hypothetically" decided to invade Mongolia?

And what reasons do you think China had?

I made a post about that long time ago in 4chan.

My plan sounds great, doesn't it? I borrowed it from the old tricks the Americans played in the Middle East and Latin America. The great powers should hire me as a military strategist. I am actually quite good at making military strategies due to spending too much free time reading about historical wars and conflicts and also from playing Paradox games.

But I think China has no need to invade Mongolia, they're fine as a shared puppet state between them and Russia.

Although if relations between China and Russia worsen too much (they are not that friendly to each other actually), China might want to intervene in Mongolia and annex it before Russia makes it a puppet state only for themselves like North Korea.

I don't know if Mongolia has rich resources if it has then China has even more reasons to invade.

Your interpretation of Mongolians is... something.

China would never invade Mongolia, they need a buffer state to separate from the Russians. If China were to attack Mongolia, I'm sure Russia would interfere to make sure Mongolia stays an independent country. The same logic goes for Russia as well, China would protect Mongolia if Russia considers annexing it.

So the idea could be impossible... lest the worst comes, if a WW3 breaks out (Which it will, inevitably speaking) I can only imagine how Mongolia would take part in this.
