They have nukes (for a long time) but it doesn't mean they have ICBMs. Unlike US and Russia their potential targets are all close by and lack good AA defense so aerial delivery is probably considered enough.
Their resources are limited though so I don't think they will go for big scale with millions of casualties, that's all in your head.

So what is more evil to wage war for years with big casualties, or just end it by killing a bunch of civilians in the act of terrorist doom-bombing campaign? In Iran, nothing much, they get new blokes. They have the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, the ayatollah, he is the ultimate boss so things go on. Until he dies, he is like over 80. Then changes will happen, but cannot know if for the better or worse. I'd say we can't even know what would be "better".

Trump just gave a speech to the Press, where he implied that if Iran doesn't want to negotiate, they will be attacked.

Trump wants to fix Russia-Ukraine conflict, because he wants to focus all efforts on the war with Iran. He also wants to ensure that Russia won't be helping Iran against American coalition.
Iran lost prestige and influence in the middle east with the fall of the Assad regime. Harder to reach Hezbollah too.
Perhaps they'll back the Syrian Assad loyalist officers who just started to stir the pot. Maybe they try to form some type of fighting force from them.
There is a chance that Iran will turn to Central Asia and be more active - not necessarily in military sense, but in foreign politics in general, since they are in BRICS now.

Despite Trump claims that the US won, this could go on for a while.
After failed negotiation Trump declared ceasefire extended indefinitely.
But now says the clock is ticking Iran should make a deal.
To be hoenst the US has not much that she can do.
They could continue bombing. They started with this and resulted in wrecking US bases in the Gulf states and Iran collecting toll in Hormuz. So what they could hope to achive with this? And nothing left to bomb but targets that effects civilians largely. Infrastructure, bridges, dams, power plants... Iran could retaliate by killing off the Gulf states. Some heavily relies on desalination plants for water. The only place that would suffer but would do fine is the Saudis. Nothing to gain with this.
They could launch a ground operation to... getting trapped on one of the islands in the Gulf, like Kharg, attacked by drones and missiles? Fantastic idea.
Or what, drop a nuke there somewhere? US reputation falls, nuking a non-nuke state would tank the opinion of everyone. Even Euros seem uncooperative or hesitant, what's gonna happen after?

Probably the only sure point of the whole thing is that Trump achieved a promise from Iran that they won't build nuclear weapons which they were saying for 30+ years already and which they said all along. Art of Deal.
US will open their own blockade on the Strait of Hormuz that countered the blockade of Iran which they initiated as a reaction to the US-Israeli aggression. Not sure if Iran will continue to gather toll from the passing ships' companies.
US might pay a bunch of money to Iran as reparation, also the frozen assets of Iran might be given back to them.
