Venezuela potentially seize parts of Guyana as part of refferendum? Real shit?

This looks like a lot like Iraq trying to take over Kuwait. Could it provoke American intervention?
FranceBernd2023-11-27 14:35:12 · 3yNo. 294723reply
thats kinda time right now if you think about it
there is a friendly guy in Colombia, in USA there is a weak guy who is very unpopular, he can't really start a war with his low approval ratings on top of Ukraine-Israel shit

its the time - if Biden does intervene, he will loose support of people for entering war. If he doesn't intervene - republicans are going to call him weak for not intervening

and i don't think Lula of Brazil will do anything

I support Guyana, Venezuela is a socialist dictatorial shithole even by Latin American standards. Elections are coming soon so they need to keep their people distracted, that is why they are arising the Essequibo issue again.
FranceBernd2023-11-27 15:31:31 · 3yNo. 294727reply
Guyana doesn;t even look like a real nation. Can you remember how their flag looks like? you ever seen them here posting? same as suriname. some weak trash ruled by incompetent leaders
they have richest of riches under their feet and they can't exploit it to pull themselves by the bootstraps and buy a better army?
PeruBernd2023-11-27 17:10:44 · 3yNo. 294733reply
They have the merit of cucking Venezuela as long as they have existed

refferendum date set on 3rd of December

world awaits with bated breath...or rather, i await, because most of the world is clueless about it and seems not noticing it

Although, to be fair, i myself didn't care or knew about this issue before 2 days ago. But on the Google maps those borders are not defined and indicated by dotted map, if you click "Whats here" it will show you that its "Unavailable" like with many disputed territories
FranceBernd2023-11-28 19:52:54 · 3yNo. 294814reply
Another disputed place on this map is Tigri Area. Its under control of Guyana despite their promise of withdrawing millitary from there and restarting talks

if Venezuela takes over Essequibo, i wonder how it would influence Guyana and Suriname dispute. I mean Guyana would have to re-deploy the millitary somehow but the whole country would risk turning into a thin Togo-like match-stick
PeruBernd2023-11-28 20:34:19 · 3yNo. 294815reply
So Guyana is cucking Venezuela AND Suriname at the same time? Those guys are based

my amateur idea would suggest that Brazil could intervene and deny this territory to Venezuela under the guise of protection of Guyana

so Venezuel could get some orange part, but Brazil could take the green part as a bulwark and say

or its going to be some fucked up river boundary
NetherlandsBernd2023-11-30 20:59:09 · 3yNo. 294957reply
there is a mountain where border of guyana and brazil and venezuel crosses - 3 point border

Isn't the oil they found completely offshore? What's the point of taking the green part then?
NetherlandsBernd2023-11-30 22:07:51 · 3yNo. 294980reply
well, imagine yesterday you had a river border with retarded guyana, abosolutelly peacefull country, and now that border is suddenly with venezuella who just ate half of guyana and insanely patriotic

in situations like this venezuella can just do retarded shit like cross into brazil territory, maybe take over some island on the river that was brazilian, but venezuella will claim that its actually venezuellan icland on the river and they don't care if guyana before admited it to be brazilian land.

green part is forest, you can cut it down for timber
plus if Brazil will do nothing, they will look weak. maybe Lula is ok with that, but different retards in brazil could exploit it, and in any way brazilian weakness could invite American-UK-French strength. Like what if Americans intervene and start fighting with Venezuella and you as Brazil was sucking dick at the begining of this dispute, in the middle when hot war started you realize that "Holy fuck this was is generating legit refugee crisis, with forest fires from bombs, illegal trade of weapons, brazilian people go to there as mercenaries and return radicalized and begin to form militias that challenge our central power..."
i dunno, i'm drunk and iwant tosleep

Venezuela can't even seize parts of herself.
ArgentinaBernd2023-12-15 05:32:53 · 3yNo. 296309reply
You guys don't realize that this shit is just a smokescreen, elections are coming in Venezuela and Maduro issued this referendum to distract the voters and get elected again, smart move btw. But let's say Venezuela invades the Essequibo region it would be so easy peasy for them.
The guyanese army consists of less than 5K soldiers, plus a few reservists, and their air force only four old F16 jets. Guyana would be pretty much fucked, there's no way they can stop an invasion without America intervining directly.

Is your unelected president still not holding elections and killing civilians in the street like dogs for freely expressing themselves, quisepe? I think her name is Dina Balearte.

Yeah in Peru we kill serranos, coneros, venecos and leftists like there is no tomorrow. You would also be killed because you look conero/serrano and are leftist.

I prefer Dinamita Volarte

People literally burn dummies of the president during Christmas and New Year but we have no freedom of expression…sure thing buddy KEK. Go burn a dummy of Fidel in Cuba and go see what happens in a true dictatorship.

Communism destroys brains, definitely. Commie cockroach is a proof of it.
