Germany wants to give ammo to Ukraine.
Switzerland says no.
No ammo for Ukraine. = Loss for Ukraine.

Why can Switzerland veto?

In Western countries it seems to be very normal to have this kind of contract for arms deals.
Country A sells to country B for the purpose of use by country B. If country B wants to give the arms to another country, they need to seek approval from country A.

This exists because countries don't want their weapons to go into the hands of their enemies or fuel active conflicts.

According to Goblin customs, the rightful owner of an object is and will always be whoever created that object. No contract of purchase can change that; objects can at best be borrowed, granted for use, but never change ownership. Therefore, whoever created the object, can not only limit the user to what he may wish to do with the object, but is also entitled to having it returned whenever the rightful owner (i.e. the creator) wishes it to be so.

We should send samples of these weapons into Iran and China so they could reverse engineer it and create their own versions, destroying the market for Europeans and Americans. If China were to make these, they would make it cheaper. If Iran would make it - it can be used to fight USA and Europe in the future. Win-win for Russia.

If you're laughing about this 3 months old thread you should know that an ammo manufacturer has since been found in Norway. New ammo for the Gepard is being produced and has already been tested. Ukrainian crews have completed their training in Germany and the Gepards are expected to enter service in Ukraine next week.

They were designed to shred Russian planes and helicopters, upgraded to be able to fight against drones, as well. And that is what they will do soon.

Ukraine already had Shilkas. These things are similar to Shilka and Shilkas don't seem to be changing the course of war that much.
We will capture or buy these things from Ukrainians and display them in Moscow as trophy.
GermanyBernd2022-07-22 13:44:08 · 4yNo. 201440reply
Russia has never achieved air superiority in Ukraine.
Additional Ukrainian AA capability via Gepards will make the Ukrainian airspace even more dangerous for Poccners, which will greatly limit their capacity for defense operations.

The Black Sea is now extremely dangerous for Russian ships and they have pulled back very far from the Ukrainian coast. The same will happen to the skies.

No single weapon is a game changer. But it's not going to tip the scales in Russia's favour. Quite the opposite.

>Russia has never achieved air superiority in Ukraine.
Yeah
reminder that Russia is mostly bombing from distance, avoiding Ukrainian airspace

I mean, this is cited as the reason why they keep hitting civilian targets 2km away from claimed real objectives 🐓
