did you really expect any period other than Sea Peoples?

I have fantasized about a Total War game set in the Near East during the Early Bronze Age for about these past ten years or so.

 

And they pick a period of the Bronze Age closer to the Iron Age than it is to the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Hopefully they will ditch the unrealistic hero mechanic

Haven't played a Total War game since Medieval and Rome II. What's the hero mechanic? Is it like the champion duels as depicted in the film "Troy"?

in TW Troy and Warhammer, generals are powerful solo fighting units that equal lile a 100 mid tier infantry mooks or more, they also have superpowers such as magic spells etc

Seriously? They have generals with superpowers in TW Troy?
