This other game called the Invincible looks even more intresting than Starfield

 

I watched the trailer for this Invincible game without knowing the name of the game and when i saw the iron plants the chills immidiatelly run down my spine because i recognized them. i read the novel the Invincible when i was a kid. Stanislav Lem is one of the few Poles thanks to whom i have some respect for Polish people.

This game based on Stanislav Lem novel should have the budget of Starfield and it would be much greater product than Starfield.

Like look at the trailer of Starfield, how they try to manipulate the viewer's emotions with music and phrases "the last group of space explorers". What does they even mean by "the last group of space explorers"? Hell, those Pirates you so mindlessly shoot can be space explorers as well, they have space ships, they explore for profit. Many pirates were explorers in the history of our planet, they were sailing the seas and stumbling upon new lands and islands, encountering new life and tribes. But no, they are not the good guys, Nooo, we need a fucking high pitch motivational music note LAST GOOD EXPLORERS led by a nigger and a woman

and why do we search these macguffins for? Because it unlocks some power and "will change humanity forever"

bitch , what is even humanity in this future scattered across hundreds of planets, there is no humanity even on our own planet, how the fuck there can be cohesive humanity when they are separated by light years and what do you need power for if you already have power to fly between stars?

 

after rewatching the trailer seems like you can join the pirates maybe for some quest of killing their leader and pirates. And the name "Crimson fleet" so boring. Reminds me of filler pirates in Mass Effect 2 - blue suns and eclipse.

Yeah, they probably will have skins and spacesuits as market items to buy for real money in game

and guns - i mean they have the healthbars on enemies, they probably going to be bullet spondges and you will have to buy a gun in game for real life money to do any damage

 

i used to wait for Elder Scrolls 6, but now i know - i don't want to see how this game is going to look like in 2023 or 2024

Well, it's only a lvl2 enemy and a few first mintues of gameplay so who knows but probably you are right. I guess graphics will be decent and overall the map and terrain will be well designed but with disappointing gameplay, story and no depth. I also always thought Skyrim was overrated as fuck, world always felt empty and bland to me and story just some generic muh dragons shiet. Bethesda games suck, Fallout NV was bretty good and Oblivion was alright but that's it.

However, it is Xbox exclusive which is the biggest joke about it so why worry.

Probably a reskinned settlement mechanic that you need to power up your gear and half of the resources needed to build shit will be gatekeeped by some paywall, this can be placed so far into the game, game journos will never even see it for their "9,5/10 it's okay".

I even expect another push towards paid mods by now.

It will be Skyrim but instead of having one map where they have at least put some effort into it will be "thousands" or whatever of empty and boring "planets" with some randomly generated npcs and area that will only feel hollow and pointless.

I don't know why they are attempting to do such "revolutionary" ideas when the hardware of today is not good enough for anything like it.

 

They know they can cash out on the artificial hype. Like Anthem - i fucking hated this abomination from the moment they released their trailer, but try to look at it now after knowing it was a failed bullshit turd. But people bought it in millions and were actually hyped for it

Try to hear very carefully at the words they are using - they say the same fucking shit about "EXPLORE THE UNKNOWN AND PROTECT HUMANITY". They talk about EXPEDITIONs. The exploration there are these pop-ups on the screen with Expirience.This word EXPLORATION has some romantic value that somehow stimulates the soy boy brains, he then imagines himself as some historic figure who conquers hardships and goes on adventures, being the first to see some things no one ever saw, giving them names, defining the first contacts with new civilisations. Soy boys internally understand that they are fucking disgrace so they crave this exploration simulation, so they could atleast in game feel like real humans whos actions matter, who are doing history and somehow expanding the knowledge of some cathedral of civilisation. And marketologists who develop these hollow games know about this desire, about this craving, they have focus groups of different ages, races and backgrounds and they ask them different questions like "Which words invoke positive emotions within you when you hear them?" and probably the word "EXPLORATION" was getting mostly positive hits, so they fucking pushing this shit into every fucking promotion material. But in the games itself the exploration is just - you go to the intrest point, you click the button and some text appears on the screen and you get 10XP, and some inspiring music plays "Huzaa, glory to the Explorer!" and since the company is lazy, there are probably going to be like 2 to 5 intrest points for "Exploration" on each planet while 99.999999999% of the planet is going to be some procedurally generated repeating landscape.

But it doesn't fucking matter if you and me know it - the sheeple are going to be hyped for this game and buy millions of copies

 

And since Bethesda now belongs to Microsoft, who knows if the modding will be available for this game at all.

Stop caring about that, really. Any thought spend on that is a wasted thought.

Some companies just stop being interesting over time for the sophisticated game enjoyer and vanish from the radar.

I loved Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, GTA up to 4 and so many more games from former top class developers, but they all started catering to the plebs since gaming was adopted by much larger masses and now they make the next logical step by adopting more and more predatory monetary schemes as the plebs accept even that, not my problem.

 

But if any of those studios brings forth a single dev that is fed up by those practices and limitations at work and starts working on his own small project that ultimately spawns another Minecraft, StarSector, Rimworld, Kenshi, Prodeus or whatever, it was worth it.

Those just aren't as marketed anywhere, so you have to find those gems yourself.
