Probably harder to program than a glorified VN with quicktime events. In theory, you could churn out such games like a factory.

I hate to repeat myself, but...

7D2D is such a great game, but every time I got far into it, I had all my shit wiped by some RAM hogging crash that would either revert the whole world back to game start or at least despawn all my vehicles... never touched it since alpha 17 or so.

That's weird. Never had such problems. The only problem I have is that I have to play it on low graphics on my poopy PC. Maybe your bug has been fixed? I don't play vanilla anymore, we are trying out mods now with friends. Darkness Falls mod was awesome btw.

Yeah, I remember playing with mods too, but except one good one, most increased RAM consumption even more and made the game unplayable without at least 16 or better yet 32 gigs of it.

Also I commented out those fucking glowing, exploding zombies that would ruin your structures on horde night. Fuck them grieving my crib.

 

Is the RPG mechanic still so, that you now need a group of people speccing into different stuff to be able to do everything? I remember reading the forums during A17+18 and many people complained about the single player experience getting worse.
