People with antisocial behaviour don't know what to make of compliments

"They did not seem to know as well what to do with the feedback and interpreted feedback as negative more quickly. Normally, people can distinguish quite well. If someone is nice, you act nice back. This group did not seem to want this or they just cannot make this distinction," van de Groep explains.

Young adults with higher levels of psychopathic traits thought more negatively about themselves, especially about how social they are towards others.

"Usually, research focuses on empathy tasks. But antisocial behaviour is not only related to how you view others, but also to how you see yourself."

No,
>If someone is nice, you act nice back
If I received a compliment then I would say thank you and compliment the person right back. Only problem is I don’t get too many compliments, and I’m too scared to start them because what if they think I’m flirting, what if there mean?

>say thank you
Side thing, apparently people in Japan get offended if you say “thank you” after a compliment because apparently it makes you look full of yourself. Instead you supposed to deny the compliment like saying “no I’m not” or something. I don’t get that, why would you be mad if I showed gratitude for your existence? Unless it’s actually true, then why try to deny something good? It’s stupid, wouldn’t it be more narcissistic to keep the discussion about you instead of appreciating the other person and appreciating yourself?
