Some underwater current is making Europe warm
This magical warming effect can disappear in the future, making Europe into very cold place
basically UK, Ireland, Scandinavia all the atlantic cost will be fucked by -5 or -30 degree drop, forests may die, and instead tundra spread

But there's also global warming which will kinda cancel it out. I miss snow, it became a rarity here.

Also, I think the most heavily affected areas are not very populated. Iceland and Faroe are probably the only countries that really rely on the Gulf Stream to survive, they are gonna be fucked up.

Nah, global warming is actually enabling this because the ice melts and ice is fresh water. But the whole underwater currents system is working only if there is like a balance of fresh-saline water. If there is too much fresh water, then underwater currents carrying warm water stop and you get real temperature. Basically Europe could become as cold as Alaska or Eastern side of Russia

This blue spot area could become hard to live in
sea level may also rise with the drop of temperature

not much outdoor travel will be possible
we will hear about it more, before we feel it
NetherlandsBernd2024-02-11 10:01:33 · 2yNo. 300541reply
no, it will be colder for everyone around here, Netherlands too
UK would become like Iceland or worse

maybe we will reach this shit

that's not what the map you posted says

anything that is not blue on the map is not simulated to be colder

volcano eruption should obscure the atmosphere, reflecting the sun rays, acting in the opposite direction
SloveniaBernd2024-04-28 10:27:42 · 2yNo. 308415reply
water vapour (which it injected into the atmosphere, since the explosion was not magmatic but phreatic) is transparent to visible wavelengths but obscures IR
it does not reflect sun rays but it reflects earth's thermal radiation into the space back

Its over for us, isn't it?
RussiaBernd2024-04-28 16:52:45 · 2yNo. 308450reply
its not just wapor, its crystals of sulfur injected into atmosphere and they reflect shit. Thats like natural geoengineering
SloveniaBernd2024-04-28 19:40:26 · 2yNo. 308470reply
are you retarded
they literally measured that it was mostly water vapour, not sulfur this specific time

They made a movie about it, so it is probably fake.

We're coming out of an Ice Age, so everything will be getting greener almost worldwide. Expect deserts to shrink or even disappear.
