there were many people which is why I had to walk 1km or so to find a somewhat quiet spot

Bothersome when there's too many people around, but nice that you can still find a spot.

 

We have a similar mountain lake that is close to some transit route and due to the internet leaking its secret location it is now heavily overrun by hectic Germans that make a stop on their way to their destination.

Before that it was only ever visited by some locals and you could enjoy a quiet and calm stay.

Note the location next to a heavily trafficked road, yet tourist traveling there never knew about the lake as you can hardly see it from the road.

Then came the internets and Facebook...
