From my part I use imageboards because they are imageboards, if I wanted chat, I'd pick a service. So when it was available, I never checked it. And I suspect some of the CPU overload was caused by it (like the spam I mentioned above).

obviously I recognize you want to make something unique but I think it's ok to have it as an option, maybe as just a setting in /lite/ and not the default. maybe that's too much work for uses to do to enjoy a slow image board but I just think it's an option if needed.

 

hopefully kohlchan stays dead so that pedo ring finally dies, and the bad users who migrated get weeded out on KC.org so the poor mods can get a break. if KC.org ever fails we need to be the back up board, therefore it is important to think of the quality of postings for the future bends as much as the old ones.
