I think they're basically using the same strategy as Apple with software. iOS doesn't seem as fabulous to me (I've had to use it a couple of times as a technician with users and clients, but I haven't used it as a user). I don't know what real advantage it has over Android, and I think Tesla applies the same exclusivity strategy.
But if they manage to create truly autonomous cars with competent software that doesn't cause your Tesla to end up on a cliff or run over someone...
Bernd, you know, I should get my driver's license for work, but I don't like the idea of driving. That's why I personally travel via apps, but I would like a car like that. Besides, once it arrives, it'll only be a matter of time before it becomes a trend.
