It’s because if no one has yet to respond to your post then it will not get bumped, this is actually good if you don’t want to see CP but bad for new threads (especially on other boards besides /int/)

yeah i get it and thats what i assumed at the beginning, but at this point i still end up seeing the spam but not the new threads.
i actually don't even see threads with discussion sometimes (the recent abstinence thread) despite the top bar saying there is a new message
