Is there a reasoning that striked out words get hidden by default?

I always had the impression that one is supposed to use it as some kind of changing the meaning of something you wanted to phrase differently or sarcastic, as such hiding those words by default just eliminates the sense of striking words as a whole.

 

Also whenever I change boards the Autoload turns itself back on against, which often leads to heavy lag in me browser.

 

Otherwise good board, especially the edit function that already spared me much annoyance.
