It was basically just an overboard.
But it is intended to be something closer to a catalog with just brief overview of whats going around on all boards.
If you miss overboard, it will be added (or should i say restored) back soon.

I like the new frontpage, it is like a catalog of all boards together, without it I would not notice posts in less active boards.
