Can you give me an TLDR? I haven't visited KC nor any other chan since the beginning of August. I really don't want to visit Kohl anymore, I don't think it helps my mental health. Even being here feels a little bit wrong right now, but I am interested in hearing news and what things I might have missed. Reason: Plenty of times I have opened this site and seen pedoposting/spam/chan-advertising still up and undeleted. I would just delete it right away.

My qualification: I have contributed banners, a good amount of posts in the last few months and many posts of mine were voted underrated post or serious discussion of the month.

 

I'm using Firefox on Mac right now and I guess I'd need to switch to safari to be a mod since it is still bugged on ff. But I'd do that.

We need one from American time zone.

I'm a student so I'm pretty much on kc at random times between 9 and 23 German time.

 

Additional info: I'm not a kohlface, not a /pol/tard, not a conspiracy theorist and not racist. (I just don't trust Naimans.)

It might be good to moderate typical KC tier extreme racism to some degree, but you should be able to post basic racist international banter and to use racial slurs without fear on any imageboard.

Not being a /pol/tard and opposed to Nazism isn't being an extreme leftist. It just means I'm not an extreme rightist. I'm not going to complain if you say negative things about trannies or poles. I just have a problem with the insane conspiracy theories and genocide that turned my country and most of europe into a pile of shit. My main concern is pedo stuff though. I just want to be able to have a comfy imageboard experience without needing to worry if I'm doing something illegal by viewing a page that has links to some weird lolita page.

But recently we had a guy that just called everyone a "nigger" and such things. That's not serious discussion, that's just annoying. Often times rightwing extremists also are the most confrontational, low iq and annoying posters.

...also important to note that my personal opinion and complaining about or arguing for certain political positions isn't the same as using my potential powers as a mod in such discussions.

 

Ideally, mods shouldn't argue or partake in discussions, I think. But we have very few posters and I think we need more mods so I'm volunteering since I'm often here anyway. I'll try to do a good job, though.

 

And if you prefer a rightwing safe space where you can post "gas the kikes race war now" and complain about "niggers" and the "Zionist Oppression Government", I guess you should just go back to kohl or 4kanker.

 

I think this is a place for less disgusting things. A bit more sane imageboard for the Bernds who don't want to swim in a cesspool of disgusting shit anymore and don't want their minds poisoned with the worst shit the internet has to offer.

 

Seems reasonable. Short bans are very democratic, I think. If it was really out of line, other posters can complain and the opinion of the board becomes clear very fast.

Mods, especially german ones, love to use their "power" and regulate everything as much as possible. This is just super annoying and should be avoided. You don't want this place to end up like kohl, just on the other end of the spectrum.

 

Preferably I would like this place to be more like kc around 10 or 15 years ago. What I remember was that Bernds were mostly apolitical (tho there was lot of ironic hitler-ing), smarter than average and socially inept. A crowd I felt comfortable with.
