hey, two of my albums are already on that list

 

I recognise Vigilance from that list that I can recommend; it's a thrashier band than just black metal tho, kinda like earliest black metal

Noctiferia and Ater Era from there, on other hand, are bands I couldn't get into despite being very popular (well, relatively for the scene), tho perhaps maybe I was wrong about Noctiferia because when I was getting into metal they were already doing an industrial/death sound that really bored me

Tilen Šimon's projects Veldes, Mossgiver, and Morrowsworn (which are a spectrum from atmospheric black to dungeon synth)

Another band I can recommend is Siderean, and the band they developed from, Teleport - they play a cosmic style thrash/death metal, similar to Vektor

oh yeah also this one, a curiosity: summoning's minas morgul DEMO (which only exists as a tape they sent to the label as preview for the full length album, and apparently its reproductions made by someone who got hands of that tape)

I was at Messa's concert on Friday and the opener was some local "experimental" black metal (I'd call what they played drone-black myself) Snøgg. Might be interesting to check out. Though I'm not exactly sure what were they playing.

How do you guys listen to so much music? I listen to the same stuff over and over until I know like every note by heart and only once I am bored I can move on to something new.

idk I spend about 30% of the time listening to stuff I already know I like and the rest of the time I'm in music discovery mode

Jim Kirkwood is so underrated, it blows my mind that this dude were doing the most near thing to Dungeon Synth before even Mortiis left Emperor and start his solo projects and Varg were in jail making Daudi Baldrs
