The yanks insist to this day that it was the nukes "warning" (what the fuck is the threat if that is the warning?) that made japs accept unconditional surrender. The "warning", smaller in deaths and extension from many other bombings japan suffered at the time, didn't phased the japfash. War wasn't stopped by hiroshima or nagasaki and they were not warnings, they were attempts at breaking the japs.
