Guys, what do you think this fabric is? I was drunk and ordered without asking the seller. To me it both kinda looks like cotton faux suede material or some wool but I'm not sure. Opinions?

Looks like Polyester.
t. clueless

>>287376
Hmmm good supposition might be something closer to poly fleece, however the first image shows some weave uncharacteristic of polyester fleece. . .

Additional clue: post tracking says it weighs 600 grams being a short jacket/cardigan at size 52

>>287375
> I was drunk and ordered without asking the seller
do you do that often?

Looks like something an old man would wear tbh.

It can be a mix of Cotton and polyesther, it does not say on the tag the composition?

>>287389
Yes...
>>287390
It's likely that this garment is older than me. Thats why I order this crap, I'm addicted to buying unworn old clothes with the tags still on, it's like a time capsule of a better era. Nobody touches this shit due to blurry pictures and the fact that those are bottom listings in terms of price, but for me its a treasure trove. The prices for stuff I get rarely exceed 10-20 dollars, this one was 10.
It's the natural evolution of the thrift store addiction I had in high school and early uni years.
>>287391
No pictures of this tag provided by seller (if it exists), it's already on its way and will probably arrive tomorrow or in 2 days, we have time to theorize in the meantime

Another possible clue but yandex pic translator didn't mention wool or anything

>>287392
oh if its old and of decent quality I would assume that it's wool from the looks of it.
Are you going to wear it or do you just collect that stuff?

>>287399
I wear all of it, of course. They're not pricey enought to be treated as holy grail collectibles, even if they might have had some collectible value if some reseller got his dirty sticky hands on it before I bought it from the clueless babushka.
Thing is, stuff was sewn to be much more comfortable back then, I can't stand today's skinny cuts, and even if baggy clothes and higher sitting pants are back in trend today, they're either in aliexpress/300 bucks designer stuff range, and I'd prefer to stay out of both for different obvious reasons.
I'd say I have a very practical hobby.

>>287400
>Thing is, stuff was sewn to be much more comfortable back then, I can't stand today's skinny cuts,
sounds exactly like what reviewbrah says about his suits.
Do you wear suits as well as your daily outfit?

>>287434
I don't wear suits nearly as often as he does but a couple of suit jackets and a ton of funny ties are a part of my collection, of coursh.

It seems a mix of silk with mohair, and viscose internal lining.

If you can take a straight legible picture of the Koza internal etiquette, it might help.

>>287443
All pics from the russian "ebay" listing are already ITT, I don't have the jacket itself yet :(
> viscose
Would make it a veeery lucky purchase, I'm afraid it looks more like poly. Same goes to silk and mohair but soon we will find out.

>>287444
The product page doesn't say the fabrics?

>>287445
No, next to zero information is a common trope among babushka listings and I was very drunk upon ordering. All the description said was "unworn jacket, size 52, made in Turkey".

>>287394
>DİKKAT, etiketteki yıkama talimatlarına özen göstermeniz bu giyaiyi uzun yıllar keyifle giyebilmenizi sağlayacaktır.
joje
let's hope the original fabric specifications etiket is still on

>>287440
Are you Businessman or Codergarch?

>>287463
neither, im an art school grad (graduated this summer) with next to zero prospects
i won't come up with those creative ways to dress myself if i could afford more :^DD

>>287536
Which one of your vintage outfits is your favorite to wear?

>>287537
Can't name ans whole "outfit" because there are too many variables to choose from but these two are my fav jackets, hard rock cafe and marlboro. Peak 90s consumerism.
I have these exact jackets but I'll pick photos from ans online bceause it was mass produced crap.
Also you had to smoke about 10000 packs of marlboro to "win" the marlboro jacket iirc

>>287543
> not show any of your treasures?
I'm sorry, taking pics would L I T E R O L L Y require me to take out my canon cam as I use a button phone, or using pics taken by someone else. I dont have too much pics but ylil pros might recognize the jacket on first image.

i hope not to become igor of this nanoboard

oh and i went to post office and they said the jacket will arrive tomorrow so we will find out about fabric

>>287546
I kind of like it
minus the fanny pack, although it has its charm
you know what you need now? a mustache

>>287546
swag
**I should post some of me fits somedays aswell**

>>287553
> tryhard, cringe, obnoxious
that's a weird way to spell "sexy"

>>287555
I promised myself to never become this guy so I shave clean.

the truth came out boys its a mystery meat polycotton blend but there are zero tags inside other than the one with the "brand's" name :^))))) no washing instructions either
It's more of a grandpa's soft tracksuit material

>>287610
epune. it says you should wash according to the instructions tho

>>288414
I just hand-washed it in cold water with soap, zero chance it will ruin anything, so it turned out just fine. You can even wash leather with cold water so no option safer than that. The fabric is pleasant, it's matte velour, sorta.
Thanks for resurrecting the thread btw, I didn't want to blogpost any more but your bump now justifies it, as I had a bit of luck recently (too early to tell though, it didn't arrive yet so who knows what I'm in for).
I have made more drunk orders, a silk bomber and two pairs of jeans, one of them is my literal holy grail I've been looking for for the past four years. Pic 3 is what some guys who have a brand new pair ask for, pic 4 is my babushka find. Compare the prices.
You won't believe how much of a big deal it is to me. Can't wait for it to arrive. I will shake as I open the box, to me it's like the first Rolex to a watch enthusiast, like a vasectomy coupon to a nintendo fan, like an MRE with cigarettes to Steve, like a Hitler post mark to a philatelist (ok bad example they're fairly cheap and commonplace).

>>288425
was it another drunken purchase?

I just bought a turtleneck long sleeved merino wool shirt from a polish seller ok eBay.
Now I regret....

>>288425
It is a good thread.
Do you have any tips for buying clothes online? I have never bought clothes without trying them on and I'm a bit reluctant to start ordering online. How do I avoid terrible fits? Or should I just assume if it's old enough they knew what they're doing bc it's not just some cheap sweatshop work?

>>288505
why reget
pics
>>288498
Yes. . . .
>>288512
The way to avoid terrible fits and finding things to wear online is to take the garment that you like the fit of and measure it flat. If it's uppers, measure the length and pit to pit distance, if it's pants - measure the inseam and the waist, but keep in mind that clothes were cut roomier back then and the waistline was set higher. It's okays to me because I'm not into skinny cuts, but might initially feel "off" to someone who preferred more conventional ways of dressing oneself.
Generally old stuff is indeed cut better and has better quality materials. Use words like "deadstock", "NWT", "NOS" in the search engine to find unworn old stuff. I see so much good stuff on Ebay and it's also sometimes almost avito-tier cheap, sucks to be me because I can't order anything thought:^D

>>288505
Sounds comfy. What's the problem?

Looks like waxed cotton.

>>287557
My beard is bigger

>>287375
Tbh, wool clothing is based, BASED

today I went to a concert, this is what I wore

>>288898
>concert
kein Bernd.

>>288898
what kind of concert?

>>288903
raus

>>288904
concerts are prime Bernd activity because you can do them alone without any social interaction.

>>288898
See, that's what I mean when I express disagreement with how clothes are cut nowadays. Pant rise is too short in the waist, jacket too long for what it's trying to be. But it's autism and no normie will probably notice.

>>289009
100% agree with the pant rise
the waist should be at the waist
I want to say I like long jackets but now that I think of it, it is too long to be comfortably buttoned when I'm riding a bike so I guess you're right against

Guys, you think those are flared or just wide straight? They will arrive in two days and my vision betrays me, I hate flared trousers but am ok with straight ones. 1st pic makes them look flared, second one makes them look just straight. If they are indeed bootcut/flared then it was a shitty purchase as I will have to bring them to a tailor which will probably cost more than what I paid for them.
I was very drunk upon ordering, just liked the contrast stitching and the texture of fabric.
I also decided to stop drinking and ordering shit online.

>>289432
It's straight. The first only looks flared because it isn't folded in a way that the seam isn't parallel. I'm sure you are going to look fabulous in it.

>>289437
Thank you so much. I actually am very much relieved at the moment, thanks to you.
