>>256369 >Bernd abuse I even posted a never been posted before kc chick just for you. What else can you ask for? >how do you fit that inside your mouth? Don't know about the big mac but the other burgers are pretty easy to eat. The patties are really thin and the buns are soft enough that you can press them together without tearing them apart. When I make burgers myself I often just make them disassembled and eat everything with a fork and a knife. This way you can make a perfect combination of all the ingredients on your fork and eating self made burgers with the hands always becomes a huge mess. Also it feels very responsible and grown up to eat burgers like this. >more than 25% of my daily calorie intake A real meal would be more like 33%. So even for a frail and nimble weakling like you it is not a meal. Milk and apple slices sounds like something parents would buy for their kids so it makes sense to me to advertise it like that.

So I give you a crudely traced duckling instead. >do you do any other things that feel responsible and grown up? When I woke up I had lower back pain which is what most grown ups do. Also I spent about 350€ in stainless steel containers for my kitchen in the last two weeks. What is your take on the question? >I don't think I would ask my parents to buy it if it contained milk I think in this case it is the other way around. It is not the kid that forces the parents to go to McDonald's but the parents that chose to go to McDonald's with their kid because they can feed it a somewhat healthier option. It's like going to the store to buy some cigarettes for yourself and getting some chocolate cigarettes for your child. >fresh apples are easily available We don't speak about apples but about apple slices. That means that the apples are already peeled and cut into slices so you don't have to do it yourself. I think this is way more appealing to the kid than giving him a whole apple. And let's not forget that this is for an american audience. When I look at the webpage of a german McDonald's the is no milk on the menu and the apple-slices are organic and still contain the peel. Probably to appear more healthy and obviously nothing a kid would chose to buy by himself.

What do you use the containers for? Are you happy with your purchase? > It is not the kid that forces the parents to go to McDonald's but the parents that chose to go to McDonald's with their kid That's interesting, my parents always said fast food chains served unhealthy food and they didn't want to feed it to their kid. So basically we only went there I really (and I mean really) wanted to (which wasn't often, mind you). It's hard for me to imagine a scenario where the parent is the initiator. But hey, someone is buying those chocolate cigs. > And let's not forget that this is for an american audience. Are Americans really that lazy? I know that's the stereotype, but come on, it takes less than a minute to slice an apple. Don't you find pre-cut fruits kind of disgusting? The moment you cut them they start to slowly oxidize and look unappetizingly brown (do they use inert gas for packaging in McD?). I checked their website and in Poland you can replace fries with carrot sticks. That I can understand since it takes skill to evenly julienne veggies.

>>256565 Sir sounds a bit formal. I would rather prefer Mister. I tried your yoga recommendations but it feels a little esoteric for me. I prefer to just do dedicated stretches. I wouldn't say no to some stretching programs, though. I have tons of powders and rather than having them all in different bags lying around somewhere I now have normed containers to stack and store them. I'm not super happy about the sizes because the big ones are a little too big but the smaller ones were a little too small. It made me think about my own death a lot because I bought them with the purpose of never having to buy other containers anymore. So they are most likely going to survive me and it would be a bad investment if I would die in the next couple of years. My next project will be to build cupboards with extruded aluminum profiles. These are very interesting because you can order them in any length you want and can connect them in any way you want as long as it is 90° with standardized connectors. So you can build anything you want as long as you have a precise plan and when it comes with the mail you just have to assemble it. What do you do in the evenings during the week? I notice that you only come by every few hours so you are probably not lurking all the time. >Are Americans really that lazy? even in germany there are many 20 somethings that will tell you that they can't cook. If you go into food with a mindset like this you just don't think about doing anything yourself. This means you only buy ready made meals were you have to do next to nothing or eat out. Slicing an apple will be easy for you but it is something else if don't have a peeler and a sharp knife. I feel like americans have a big all or nothing culture. So you have either a hobby cook with 50000€ kitchens or you eat out all the time. >do they use inert gas for packaging in McD they add some type of vitamin c to the apples to prevent browning. I looked at the ingredients because I wanted to know if they added sugar to them but it was just plain apples this vitamin.

>>256718 Didn't you by any chance mean to say "Master", Mister? Yeah, yoga feels really weird and gimmicky at first. It gets better as you become more flexible though (or maybe I'm just used to the weirdness now, who knows). I'll make you a list of my favorite stretches, but it's going to be tomorrow or during the weekend because I just came home from work and I'm knackered. I guess you can't die until you get your money's worth. That's an interesting reason to live. Didn't you check the measurements before buying the containers? It takes me ages to buy stuff because I need to verify every little thing, which can be annoying sometimes but overall it significantly cuts down the number of unsatisfying purchases. What's your favorite spice? > So you can build anything you want as long as you have a precise plan and when it comes with the mail you just have to assemble it. Sounds cool, what are you going to build? Are you going to put a sealant or something over the aluminum? If I recall correctly it reacts with acids and bases. > What do you do in the evenings during the week? I notice that you only come by every few hours so you are probably not lurking all the time. What do I do? Yesterday I spent two hours lugging around a 20 kg bag of potting soil and planting flowers (white Persian buttercups because they look nice and various lilies because I love the way they smell). Then I planted a strawberry seedling and re-potted ivy that sits in my kitchen. I also work out every day (except Fridays), and recently I started spending more time learning learn new technologies since I want to switch jobs. What else do I do? I don't know, I cook, read books or stuff on AO3, chill out listening to music, take long baths, and recently I've watched newest season of You. I don't really do interesting things. Next week I'm going to the philharmonic though. And in seven weeks there's a concert I'm excited for (and sort of anxious for the crowds). What do you do during the week? > even in germany there are many 20 somethings that will tell you that they can't cook. You know what's that called? Weaponized incompetence. It's not that people are unable to learn how to cook, they just don't want to. It's easier to say "I don't know" and rely on others
(i.e. mommy)
than to get your act together and learn. > I looked at the ingredients because I wanted to know if they added sugar to them Would you be surprised if they did?

>>256987 >What's your favorite spice? Ground ginger probably. You can put it in almost everything. Also I like smoked paprika, and dried basil if herbs count as well. What is yours? I want to build 1-4 90cm high cabinets where I can slide plastic boxes in like drawers so I can store my stuff in them. Maybe even put them on rollers so I can slide them around and put a wooden top on them. Aluminium itself might be quite reactive but when it is exposed to air it forms a layer of aluminumoxide on it which is chemically very stable. It does not need any coating. I tried growing my own herbs once. But I never got really into it and the yield was not really worth it watering them every day. I will try to grow sprouts to eat from seeds soon and see if that is something for me. I can imagine that having nice looking and smelling plants in your flat is something enjoyable but it must be a nightmare to move with them because you have to carry dozens of kilos of soil around. I workout a lot too. This year I tried getting big arms. So I did pretty intensive curls two times a week. It turns out that this was too much and I got tendonitis in both of my arms. So now I play 1-2h of Hades everyday until it is healed which is nice too I guess. I used to do lots of woodworking but then my neighbours complained about the noise. So this is on hold as well until I find a new flat with better conditions to do that.

I'm sorry about your injury but it made me laugh what did you make back in your woodworking days? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV7hkrp9nII this is probably my favorite set of stretches, I do it twice a week on top of my usual workout; I'll list below stretches that feel particularly good with corresponding timestamps 07:36 - open wall chest stretch 13:59 - hip flexor stretch AKA the pigeon pose, great after sitting at your desk for 8 hours 16:30 - cobra stretch, good for extending your spine; bonus points if you can manage it with only your feet and hands touching the floor, I do it by starting in high plank and then lowering my hips (don't force it though, you'll eventually be able to do it when you become more flexible) 17:00 - lower back stretch AKA the child's pose, I don't know how to describe it but you have to actively keep your hands in front of you and pull the rest of your body back, you won't feel anything if you just sit back 17:34 - upper back stretch AKA the shell pose 18:08 - side stretch, no clue how this is called but I love it, especially the version where you're up on your knees for the additional hip flexor stretch 23:28 - glute and hip flexor stretch 24:34 - lower back and side stretch also, you could try seated hamstring stretch (pic rel), but don't round your back, just bend at the hips for lower back stretch and I just found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbZzeO4P9YA which has most of the stretches listed above but it's a shorter video that's focused specifically on lower back so it might be better disclaimer: I'm not a doctor or a physical therapist, exercise caution and don't hurt yourself

I'm too aware of the problems of my works to sell it without feeling bad and noone would be willing to pay for the time I spend to make it anyway. Looking at my picture folder really makes me want to do woodworking again. But before I can do it I have to find a different flat where noone is bothered by the noise. And this is really difficult. I either need a maisonette so I have a whole floor beneath me for sound isolation or something on the ground floor and then I could try to isolate the ceiling. Also it must be close to work.

That is what I wanted to say. >can he just not do it? I mean, isn't it kind of a big deal? I really don't know what is going to happen. Chances are that either nothing is going to happen at all and we will do other stuff for the rest of the year, or there will be some big change that I can't predict. There is no easy way out of technical debt. >what are you planning to do if you run out of interesting things to do? Change to another department. I don't really want to change companies because beside the work itself the company is really nice and I doubt I would find someting with as much benefits as I get here. Sounds like your boss really likes you and wants you to make a career in the company
or identified you as a reliable dummy to exploit before his motivation runs out.
Does tea guy still stare at you all the time? Do you still eat lunch alone? >I have no idea how this company has been able to successfully function for so long with such an internal chaos Codegarchs tend to get triggered when things don't run ideally. But reality is that nothing ever runs ideally. It does not have to. Customers can't compare products based on the internal structure of the producing company. I feel like success of a product largely is determined whether the market for this product grows or not. Which in itself is more of a luck thing. How good the company works internally will only affect the number of ferraris that your boss can buy for himself as long as there is no catastrophic failure.

>>257862 I quite like the term superstrong corners, it's cute > There is no easy way out of technical debt. just close your eyes and pretend it's not there, seems to be working for your pld I think it's possible that my boss likes me because so far I've been doing what I was told without complains, so maybe I do seem gullible; although if he's planning to exploit me then he's in for a surprise tea guy still stares, he DMed me last week about some work things and then we talked about unrelated matters and he seemed normal so I have no clue what's up with him; lunch guy is from another department, haven' seen him in a while because he's in the office when I'm working from home and vice versa > Codegarchs tend to get triggered when things don't run ideally. But reality is that nothing ever runs ideally. It does not have to. honestly, I don't expect things to be perfect, I just need some order and structure for healthy work environment and to reduce stress; that chaos is big factor in my decision to jump companies, and I can't imagine I'm the first person ever to leave because of it

It's interesting that poles just use standard QWERTY layout and just added their special needs characters to it via alt-gr while we have to put up with retarded QWERTZ layout that pushes all the useful brackets up to the numbers. Good job Poland!

>>257469 Finished my storage cabinet from extruded aluminum profiles today. I paid 108€ for the aluminum and 78€ for the connectors and screws and it took quite a while to put together. Also I had to cut 36 threads into the ends of the aluminum profiles from which I fucked up 4 and drill double that amount of holes. So it was more expensive and more work than I expected. But I like how professional it looks. All my safety margins that I added to the measurements to fit the boxes comfortably were not necessary. I could have made it 5cm smaller. I will make another one like this and then make some wooden tops for them. It feels very satisfying to hold these profiles because of how light and at the same time solid they feel. I'm already thinking of how to construct a new bed out of this stuff. r8

>>261498 Connector technology is really interesting. I like how much though and engineering was put into those things. Everything fits with friction and can be slided in place. So even if you have to drill a hole this is only necessary to get to the screw head to tighten it so you don't have to be exact.
