I have recently joined subreddits for cities I'm living in or staying at regularly. In both of them I have noticed threads asking for places where you can flirt with girls. The majority of answers seemed quite hostile, telling the OP basically that no place is appropriate to go to for the purpose of flirting with girls, or giving sarcastic answers like he should download tinder.

I wonder why that is.
