It is innately tied with people's preferences. If you like the color brown, it's not something you chose, you just like the color of shit. That being said, it seems that aesthetically many people don't like the visuals created by neural networks, it is what it is.

Besides that there is also an ideological reasons, you probably are already familiar with these. People don't like when something they perceive as wrong happens.

Its not like you can immediately tell if something was made with ai or not if done properly.

Thats what i was asking about, i only can understand the issue of training nns on someones intellectual property. But its a lost battle.

I kinda agree here, ai can be appropriate sometimes, it’s just that a lot of appreciation for the arts comes from the mastery of the artist imo. Even actual artists are better at being creative with ai than ai supporters themselves, because that’s what doing art makes you, better at being creative
