Bernd, did your country used to have kino and high quality TV series, movies and cartoons between mid 90s to early 2000, before internet made tv utterly irrelevant?

 

I'm reading about a Belgium series created by Woestijnvis and they sounds very high quality.

 

Ironically in Israel this period in my opinion shows a lack of quality in comparison to series produced nowadays (for example Khan series), which are often uploaded by the broadcasters themselves on YouTube and other media channels.

 

Isn't it surprising that a director like Haneke made a direct to TV movie like the castle?
