I can suggest City of Gangsters for Bernd to try. Found it couple of months ago.

Turned based strategy, have to control a mob outfit, prohibition era. Have to run around, set up stills, open fronts, extort businesses, sell booze, open casinos, fight rival gangs and hoodlums, bribe cops and politicians, whatnot. Can be repetitive (although there are automation options). Haven't explored all the features.

Did anyone play gangstar rio? It was my childhood GTA, I had it on the iPod touch.

Do you have an end goal with these courses or did this just turn into a weird hobby of yours?

Felt tedious.

But I stopped playing because at one point in the story I should have a skill or an item or a spell or another character with the specific ability or whatnot to proceed but without it I couldn't and there was no way to go back (unless load a save from over 9000 hours ago, and as I said it was tedious).

So it sucked.
