I tried no caffeine for a couple of weeks but it does not feel very different to being a caffeine addict.
The big positive of caffeine addiction is that you can control your attention. When you need to be sharp for a while or even for a day you drink the covfefe and deal with the slight crash afterwards but you can plan with that.
No caffeine keeps your alertness on a continuous level but you never get your peak attention. The caffeine crashes are well worth the highs in my opinion.
You should try it at least once for the experience. You won't get suddenly addicted from one coffee and it won't influence you in any negative way. But you are one experience richer.
