I have been reading universal history and I have just realized how old the Pyramids of Egypt are. Just knowing that Khufu and Khefren pyramids were built around 2700 BCE is mind blowing. And by doing the math those buildings are 4724 years old. As Napoleon said, "From the heights of the Pyramids, forty centuries look down on us". Also, my favorite Pharaoh is Narmer just by the fact tha we know of the existence of such an ancient human, having been born around 3100 BC, which is roughly four centuries before the buildings of the pyramids. By 3100 BC there were still people living in the Stone Age and he was just building the first modern kingdom by the strength of his might.

Absolutely cut it out, I had same settis for years for similar reasons and the worst part was realising the sheer amount of time I'd wasted high. Also overuse takes the fun out of weed.

It's a testament to the integrity and perhaps conservatism of their civilisation that despite so many upheavals and wilful desecrations during invasions and intermediate periods that we can still form an afaik continuous king list and discuss Egyptian politics in a semi informed manner. You can't do that with most European polities even into the 8-9th c.
