I have moral scruples. I think all animals are of divine origin and I love them, but at the same time I accept their death so I can eat them. Why am I like that? And how do I reconcile my thoughts with my actions?

You need to either keep practising cognitive dissonance or become vegan.

Won't eating divine beings make you even more divine? You need to consume everything divine to become the primordial divine.

plants and fungi are also divine beings. so are you. i want more space so that i can raise pigeons for squab meat, that way the animals i eat will be killed by me and i can carry the burden of responsibility instead of offloading it onto an overworked and probably mentally ill slav.

Those aren't mutually exclusive thoughts, beliefs.
Consider animism.
