Got myself an anti insect shotgun that shoots common cooking salt.
 
Flies and mosquitos are one shot, bigger creatures might need 2-3. You can snipe them down from your TV screen at night from the sofa.
 
The spider in vidrel was a two shot btw. Also the first time in my life I killed a spider, I was curious about what my gun can do, forgive me

That's what I usually do.
In my garage I keep a lot of spiders and intentionally leave the door open when I work there at night with lights on so insects come in to die.
