Has buying non-sweet corn for boiling became an problem for you?
Last three times I bought corn to boil it and eat with butter and salt and some black pepper, the corn turned out to be extremely sweet, as if it was made for corn syrup, and no amount of salt would bring back that savoury taste from childhood. Corn syrup is not a widely used product in russia anyhow, are sweet corn types just easier to grow? Why is only sweet corn left in the stores.
This bothers me.
I want non-sweet savoury boiled corn with salt and butter, I didn't ask for candy corn, but here I am, announcing my problmes to the audience.
