I know a bit of Italian.
sign language is interesting, I have been thinking about learning it but it feels like it's a skill you lose if you don't use, and since I don't know anyone to practice the language with I think I'm going to have a hard time, I have not done much research yet so I'm not if learning ASL is enough or I will have to learn an Arabic variant.

if so how long did it take you to learn it?
I never understood why people who don't need sign language (because of some disability, or mute relatives) are interested in it.
Mute people can write as well, and if they have something very interesting to say, you will likely emcounter it in written form anyway.
There are other things to learn that give so much more value. Like, an actual language.

Learning to approach girls yourself takes much less energy and gives you a lot more value compared to the energy you'd need to put into learning sign language to actually make this scenario work.

I'm not about the money, and I understand very well why people are interested in it.
But OP says he wants to learn it.
All I say is that I think that you get really a little reward for a very big effort.
