That Germans are the biggest tourist group in many European countries. I always thought we prefer to stay home or travel inside Germany.

I dunno. It's almost stereotypical here that Germans travel so they can behave naturally, not that tight assed ordnung this and ordnung that. Natural behaviour means vulgar and primitive, careless, because they think if they aren't at home then laws and rules don't apply. And their neighbours and coworkers won't know that in reality they are disgusting and retarded. Until they get put to their place, and then they blink surprised what happened, and that they didn't know they shouldn't behave like apes.

So I'd think they like to travel.
