If you can read the traditional chinese script (I don't know how big the difference is) you can check the taiwanese/HK internet, it probably has more freedom and diversity. I've seen their imageboard once
So, after having learned Mandarin Chinese daily for almost two years, I am finally at the stage where I can somewhat read texts in the internet.
Turns out the chinese internet is SHIT, because every single server is like glass to the government.
I start to understand why so many chinese people are so fucked up, it is because of the environment they have to live in.
