I finally made the change, just took me 20 years.
Best decision ever, wow, ubuntu is so cool.

i love windows 11 so much it's unreal, i never had any issue with it ever, it's fun AND it's safe.
i would be using linux if i didn't play games though, or on a second computer/laptop if i had that

>win11
>no issues

i had to use a win11 laptop while i was in France a while ago

two things that triggered me very hard were:

- the new shitty context menu, it feels like picrel
- the new notepad

WTF ITS NAME IS NOTEPAD
why the fuck does it keep things saved automatically? do i want to save every shit that i write down on a paper forever?

don't quite understand your problem with the context menu, you mean the menu that pops up when you right click a file etc? feels kinda same/improved to me.
and the notepad thing is a feature not an issue, it just keeps the text you had entered on the last use if you didn't delete it in case you forgot to save something, just delete your text before closing if you don't like it, there even is a setting that lets you disable that. you like settings and configuration as a sworn in linux user, don't you?
windows 11 is great, and the fact that you couldn't up with anything better than these two nothingburgers confirms it

Lul i had to edit the registry to get features back in the context menu like 'open git bash here' as well as some others.

I think while win11 might be more user npc friendly, it is basically just a reskin of win10 with all the flaws.

isn't ubuntu the most npc friendly distro though? when i had my linux phase i also installed ubuntu and i had no trouble in using it despite being quite the brainlet tbh, had to google a command here and there but that's it, only reason i switched back to windows was gayming performance and some applications that i like to use which are not supported on linux (lightroom for example, and its freeware linux alternatives are somewhat inferior)

Yes, why do you think I chose it?

win11 is always there to welcome you back with open arms once you are done with your little experiment
can't wait for win12

anal probe sure, but what advertisements?
GermanyBernd2024-04-20 07:04:48 · 2yNo. 307223reply
Lel. Last time I installed ans ubuntu it tried to force me to register my email account with them to use the package manager GUI.
Get Linux mint for a hassle free linux experience.

The ads that they'll provide for you on desktop. You know they can revert any changes you make in the settings.
