Spotify and other streaming services are exploiting the musicians. They make tons of money with the artistic output of other people while actually paying those people a pittance.

Spotify was never profitable. They lose ~ 100 million dollars every month. Atm the customer is the only winner because he can enjoy music without having to pay that much.

I get my music drom YT and soundcloud, occasionally even the KC.

The people running it are still millionaires.

Spotify is great for finding new music you like, way better than YT

and it's more comfy to have access to all music rather than syncing your mp3 library with phone

Before there was a way to record music musicians only made money from gigs, and from wealthy patrons of art. After you could sell recordings they made lots of money. Now in an era of streaming and piracy you can only make money from gigs, and from people supporting you on patreon.
