Two weeks I bought shoes online, but they didn't fit, I still wore them for a week or so and even removed the label.
Then a few days ago I just wiped down the shoes with a wet piece of cloth and knotted the label to the shoes and sent them back. Today I got an email saying the return was successful and I get the money back, although on their site they write the products must be unused and with label to return them.
Did I do something immoral?

would you be fine with buying new shoes, and receiving a pair that was already worn by someone (not just tried on)?

If I had bought new shoes, then no, because that would mean the seller was lying.
But if you can't say from their appearance whether they're new or have been worn, there's no harm I think.
